3rd Circle Conference.

Circle Conference of AIPSBCOEA, West Bengal Circle

                 3^rd Circle Conference of All India Postal SBCO employees union, West Bengal Circle successfully held on 15^th Feb.’2015 at Auditorium Hall , Yogayog Bhawan. Com. Paramesh Roy Chowdhury and Com. Nathuram Biswas presided over the conference. Com. Tapan Dasgupta, President, AIPEU, Gr. “C”, West Bengal Circle and Joint Convener,12^th July Committee inaugurated the conference. Nearly 100 comrades including delegates/visitors and guests were present in the conferenace. Com. Virendra Tiwari, General Secretary,   All India Postal SBCO Employees Association nicely described present attack on SBCO sector, Postal Department as a whole. He also made an appeal to build up united struggle to save our department.

                Com. Asit Das, Circle Secretary placed bi-ennial report and 7 (seven) delegates including 2 (two) female delegates took part on discussion. Finally the report was passed unanimously. Other speakers like Janardan Majumder, Circle Secretary, AIPEU, Gr. “C”, Sanjay Chakraborty, Circle Secretary  R-IV, and Com. Bijay Gopal Sur, Circle Secretary, GDS(NFPE) delivered their speech. Leader like Com. Manoj  Shaw, Finance Secretary, Gr. “C”, Com. Somnath Goswami, Asstt. Circle Secretary, Gr. “C”, and Com. Ganesh Das, Finance Secretary, Admn. Union were also present in the conference.

     Smt. Arundhaty Ghosh, Chief Postmaster General, West Bengal Circle, due to her sudden assignment could not attend the conference. However, she sent her message wishing the conference a grand success. Conference took commitment so that within a short period of time, our organization may be the biggest organisation in our circle as well as at national level.

OBITUARY

          Our beloved member Com. Arindam Sarkar and PA Kolkata GPO passed away on 17^th Feb.’2015. He was admitted at a nursing home at Bidhan Nagar. He was nearly 52. He was out an out honest, sincere worker and also a bonafied member of our organization. We express our shock over his untimely death and also express our condolence to his bereaved family.

           There is an allegation that he was mentally torchered by Sri Arun Sarkar, Deputy Director, Kolkata GPO. As per Doctor’s report, his previous disease like progressive asymmetric paraplegia got aggravated as a conseguence of “recent severe mental stress.” We are apprehending that he received his stress as a result of rude/inhuman treatment by Sri Arun sarkar, Deputy Director, Kolkata GPO. Actually, it is learnt, this Director is habituated to behave rudely with office staff. His attitude is such which is not fit in a civil society. It is also learnt, he even does not know how to behave with female employees also. As a result, all cross section of employees of Kolkata GPO are severely annoyed with this office.

           So,we are again expressing our shock at one hand while on the demanding remarkable punishment against Sri Arun Sarkar, Deputy Direcor, Kolkta GPO for peace and franquility in sector.

MINUTES OF MEETING WILL BE EXHIBITED ON WEB-SITE AFTER RECEIPT FROM DEPTT. OF POSTS.

NO FINAL SETTLEMENT ON ANY ISSUE HAS BEEN REACHED. EVEN THOUGH POSITIVE ASSURANCES HAVE BEEN GIVEN BY SECRETARY (POSTS)

            WE SHOULD CONTINUE OUR CAMPAIGN AND PREPARATIONS FOR INDEFINITE STRIKE FROM MAY 06^th, 2015.

REGARDING GDS, SECRETARY (POST)   HAS AGREED TO RE-EXAMINE THE CASE FOR REFERRING THE REVISION OF WAGES AND OTHER SERVICE CONDITIONS OF GDS TO 7^th C.P.C. WE HAVE TAKEN A FIRM STAND THAT WE DO NOT WANT SEPARATE COMMITTEE FOR GDS.
